Her 1st Year Birthday Celebration

Moving In

Thanks to our friendly neighbourhood, Ketua Kampong Hussain and Hj Zil who had helped hubby searching for a good car for my stay here. It wasn't a very long search i guess, it was down to either a green Mitsubishi Magna or a maroon CSI Toyota car. We had to think of fuel consumption & reliability and we thought Toyota was a good option. Thanks to hubby for the sponsorship, he described it love at first sight and had named the car J-Lo because part of the registration plate number is JLU. We had a few problem with the transmission at first but the agency had the car serviced and repaired, now our J-Lo is up and running.

We finally get our house sorted out with the housing agency. We got our keys and happily moved in today. We realised that now it is time to bring in some furniture into the house so tomorrow we have decided to go to IKEA to buy in some stuffs.

Movie In The Park

The Movie Up Showing that night

The view of the park taken from the balcony of my friend's apartment just before the show

The view from where we were sitting. I couldn't take a better photo of it

These are my new friends who happens to be also my movie in the park partners

Twice a year Brisbane City council would organise "Movie in The Park" event. It so happen this is happening on the second day we are here. I feel so lucky!!! It was awesome and very crowded. People were literally lying on the grass, some came with their pillows and blanket, picnic chairs, bean bags and some are having picnic too, that is actually us!!

First Day in Brisbane

Beautiful scenery from outside our window

The first day in Brisbane was really nerve shattering for both of us! My Hubby and I didn't know what to expect. We safely landed in Brisbane International Airport on Thursday, 25th March 2010. We were lucky that our friend (Anni & Hubby Hj Zil) had agreed to pick both of us from the Airport. They are both really nice couple!!! They showed us around my campus, School of Medicine, University of Queensland and some of the housing areas nearby the campus.

First in our checklist is to look for a good housing unit to rent. But for the time being, we need a place to stay. We are so lucky that one of my friends house is empty as she is gone back to Brunei today. It is a one bedroom unit appartment. Anni & many other Bruneians are also staying here. I'm very much impressed with the neighbourhood, we were told there are about more than 10 units in this neighbourhood rented out by Bruneians. Good!! My parents won't feel lonely when they are here.
