It was exactly last week when we had our first car fuel tank filled. It cost us about AUD $70. We really were going round Brisbane by car very much that we are due for another fuel fill but this time it cost a bit less AUD $63, we didn't want to wait till the tank is completely empty. It is only now i realise how heavily subsidised our fuel really is in Brunei. Here the unleaded petrol is AUD $1.24/litre (B$1.80/litre), that is like 4.5 times more expensive!!! It's okay as we are well aware of that before us considering having a car. Another big difference with petrol station in Brunei, here filling in you car tank is self service so we have to do it all by our own! It was a kind of exciting actually!
