Her 1st Year Birthday Celebration

Lone Pine Sanctuary

Friday, 16 April 2010

On Hubby's last day, we made a last minute decision to go to the Lone Pine Sanctuary. For the first time in my life, i made a close encounter with Kangaroos. The fun part was our close encounter with the kangaroo. We get to feed them food with our hands. It was a very wonderful experience and fun thing to do on hubby's last day here. Check out the photos below. We will surely go there again. :)

This is interesting. These little girls were actually talking to the kangaroo for a while. I approached them and took a picture of them, as if they are understanding each other!!

I didn't know until today that Kangaroos come in different colours i.e. different species. Interestingly enough each species inherit a particular behavior!!! Look for your self!! The brown one is the playful type (trying to play paper ball with hubby). The red colour kangaroo likes to be hugged. The one with the black tail-end likes to steal stuffs, it was actually trying to steal our foods!!! Unbelievable!!

We also made close encounters with different aminals as well like koalas (of course, it is koala sanctuary afterall!!), birds, emos, lizards even wolves and many more!!! Just the first photo below we saw a small lizard like animal roaming around the walkway, and you can tell from mum's posture that she was scared!! That was funny!!
