For the past few days, on our way to visit our little Rania, we always drive past this one buzy street across Bowen Park just next to the RBWH. It seemed like there was some event going on in the park, an event, which as the big banner that was put up at the park entrance suggested, the event is called Ekka.
Today, after visiting our Princess Rania, Hubby and i made a decision to take a walk at the crowd and try to find out what happen. Because, it is quite close to the hospital about less than five minutes walk, so we just walked to the park. It was later from the fliers that was handed out at the entrance, that that we discovered Ekka is actually an annual event in Brisbane that only happens for 10 days every August of the year. To our surprise there were games in there, fun rides and many more. They also have science exhibition, animal farms, garden landscape displays and so much many more. I really wanted to win something for our Princess Rania. So we tried some of the games. I knew hubby was pretty good with some of the game because in the UK we went to similar type of fun fair event, Notingham Goosefair. We also stayed to watch the fireworks, car and motorcyle show. Pretty Amazing!! Will definitely bring our baby Rania there when she is already big. At the end of the day, hubby won 2 big toys and 1 small one, whereas i only won 1 big toy and a small one from netball games.. Yippie!! All of toys are for our lovely Baby Rania :)
