Last night, litttle Princess Rania was weighed by Auntie Jackie. She is now 812g. Yippie!! Her weight gain was slow last week, maybe it had to do with her tummy rest. But this week she is gaining and gaining more fat, in fact that 812g is the highest she has ever been! I'm so proud of her! Now i'm looking forward for her to reach her 1000g milestone!!
Her breathing has improved too. Her doctor said she was doing well, very much to my delight. On my visit last night, she was unsettled, while her sucking reflexes was getting more apparent. Even i can tell, she is obviously looking for something to suck-upon and would rather not settle until her Auntie Jackie put her finger in her mouth. Jackie suggested i should just get her a pacifier to soothe her. But, I'm not sure if the quick fix pacifier is a good idea after reading about it. Please comment..
salam dear...hope all of u are doing well over there esp baby Rania...she is one lucky baby n a very cute one too :)
ReplyDeleteabout the pacifier, both nina n nazhan were on pacifiers when they were little...but we managed to get them off before they turned 2...we didn't experience any serious problems though...but of course, it's up to you...just follow ur instinct n listen to the experts' suggestions...
Our prayers are always with you & Rania and have a blessed Ramadhan :)
Salam za. To let your princess using the pacifier is your choice eventhough there were some advantages & disadvantages of it. The advantage of it.. it can relief & comfort them from crying continously because they need something but the disadvantage is if they keep on using it for a long time... It will effect their teeth growing properly for example.. their teeth will not growing in line some time it will grow inward or backward. That what I know. And also when they keep on using it... may be it will be difficult for them to let go the dummie..hhehe But it depends to us for how long we let them or how often we give them to use it. For me...I only let my one & only Hakim to use it when he really2 need it or in other word while waiting his milk/ food to be serve to him..hehehheh.. anyhow...just follow your heart.. either you want her to use it or not... good luck for baby rania...
