It is the time of the year for Zakat Fitrah!! Zakat Fitrah is a form of giving (charity) given to the to those who are less fortunate in the community. The word zakat means both 'purification' and 'growth'. The payment of Zakat Fitrah is obligatory for every muslim and must be paid before the end of the fasting period on the last day of the Islamic holy month of Ramadhan.
Hubby has fullfilled his obligation by paying Zakat Fitrah for our family including little Princess Rania, after Tarawih, which took place at sister-in-law's house today. The person who received the payment is our Uncle, Mudim Haji Safar bin Haji Bolaji, who happens to be one of the authorised Zakat receivers in Brunei. The Picture was taken by Cuzin Diman (thanks!). Hubby also made Zakat payments for Mom and Dad, who are both here in Brisbane with me. Thanks Huby!
